Welcome to AGS Lincolnshire Group

The Lincolnshire Group of the Alpine Garden Society promotes and supports the enjoyment of gardening with alpine/rockery plants, dwarf bulbs and woodland plants. We find this extensive group of plants both beautiful and enjoyable to grow in our gardens, they are usually compact slow growers, ideal for the smaller garden and offer colour all year round. If you are interested to learn more about these types of plants, why not come along to one of our meetings - visitors are most welcome.

This is a small friendly group that meet in most months of the year on a Wednesday evening at the Village Hall in New Waltham near Grimsby. These events are very informal and will commence with friendly chatter amongst members prior to 7.30pm when the lecturer is introduced. The speakers who are invited from around the country will present the talk using slides or digital images and topics vary greatly - see Events page for our current list. Questions may be asked at the end of the talk, thereafter hot drinks are available. The meeting will usually conclude by 9.30pm.
